Tanya Mahenga, a Love Island contestant, wants to be an embryologist
Season 9 of Love Island will feature ten contestants who will travel to a luxury villa in South Africa, where the climate will make winter feel like summer.
Tanya Manhenga, a 22-year-old biomedical science student from Liverpool, is one of the contestants who will appear on the show. The candidate has chosen to postpone her education in order to appear on the show and find love.
She stated in an interview with Metro UK that she plans to continue her studies after Love Island. Tanya wants to work in embryology, which primarily deals with IVF (in-vitro fertilization.) She stated that she wishes to assist people in having children.
She said in her interview:
“That was the one job I truly wanted because it’s the most satisfying to me; I want to get up and say, ‘This is helping.’” That is absolutely where I would go.”
The Love Island contestant has only one semester left of school, and her mother supports her desire to participate in the show and then continue her education. Tanya went on to say that her mother was relieved that she was nearly finished with her degree because she would not have liked it if she had stopped in the middle. She was afraid Tanya would be convinced of her decision, but after learning how little of it remained, she became supportive and on board.
Mahenga, according to her ITV profile, falls in love young and wishes to be treated like a princess. She also keeps her playing cards close to her chest. Mahenga considers herself impulsive, lively, and confident.
She went on to say:
“I’m quite pleasant, but don’t let that mislead you. I want to be friends with everyone, but if you’re going to be cheeky, I’m the kind of guy who will return the favor.”
Mahenga told ITV that she is looking for a relationship and that being on Love Island with so many different people will help her figure out what she wants in a partner. Tanya told Bustle that her ideal type is “middle-gorgeous.” If she had to pick someone from previous seasons, she would go with Dami Hope, who has a great sense of style, or Luca, who has a “really mysterious feel with tattoos and whatnot.”
